Our Founder

Who is Long Legal?

Meet Emily! A Florida native and sixth-generation entrepreneur, Emily founded Long Legal to offer a more modern and personalized approach to legal support for founders, small businesses, and nonprofits. With a legal career spanning business law, contract disputes, construction litigation, and nonprofit work, Emily understands the risks, pitfalls, and small decisions that can negatively impact a venture, and she founded Long Legal because she believes legal support should work for you before problems arise.

At Long Legal, we approach legal support from a cultivation framework focused on whole business health. We get to know you, your team, your vision, and your goals. We support your ability to make informed legal decisions that serve your business at every stage. We are here to support your long-term goals.

Ruby

Meet our roseate spoonbill, Ruby. Roseate spoonbills are wading birds found throughout Florida with distinctive pink feathers. They are filter feeders and in hunting for their food they improve the water around them. They can be found in mangroves, tidal flats, and shallow coastal water and can often be seen in water systems in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Our founder, Emily, grew up kayaking in Florida and was often surrounded by roseate spoonbills. They have been a symbol of growth and change in her life, and she chose the bird as a symbol of what Long Legal offers to its team and to the clients it supports, whole business health and foundations that allow people and businesses to flourish.
